Highlighted Events: Sweethearts and Orphans Car Show

The Sweethearts & Orphans car show is back for its 21st season!

The Show N' Shine car show takes place in historic downtown Waxahachie from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 14. The event is put on by the North Texas chapter of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club. All 1942 and earlier vehicles, regardless of marque, are eligible to participate along with pre-1990 “corporate orphans.” Orphans are vehicles whose manufacturers have ceased production; corporate orphans are those brands no longer made but whose manufacturers still exist.

The meet kicks off with a driving tour Friday, March 13, for participants. Saturday’s activities include the car show, home tour and evening banquet. The meet concludes Sunday, March 3, with the awards show.
